His favorite drawings are ones where he gets to sketch people interacting the Chicago’s public art works. He loves the way he can play with composition, light, and color to capture the vibrancy of the Chicago community. One of Michael’s favorite pastimes is urban sketching. With such incredible architecture, it’s easy for him to go outside and fill up his sketchbook with drawings. With an artist’s keen eye, he is passionate about capturing the essence and energy of Chicago life.

Outside of creating his own works, Michael is also a passionate curator. Not only does he carefully curate his own private collection, but he also hosts exhibitions that showcase the work of emerging artists. These exhibitions offer a platform for local creative voices. Michael takes pride in offering spaces for artists to gain exposure in the competitive art world.
Through his curatorial work, Michael enjoys breaking down the barrier between artist and audience. He loves the excitement of gallery openings where the public gets to ask the artist questions and discuss pieces with other attendees.
