Hancock Building
As an Architect turned Art Curator, Michael Ferro Chicago is particularly excited about the hosting location of the Magnificent Mile Art Festival. The event will take place officially at 875 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, with exhibits set up along the sidewalks and throughout the plaza. The building is formerly known as the Hancock Building; otherwise known as Big John and the John Hancock Center. Featuring a 100-story skyscraper, the structure is an architectural marvel. Ferro appreciates its innovative external bracing, which provides open floor space and offers increased stability in high winds — particularly fitting in the Windy City!
