But he understands that attending museums isn’t always in everyone’s budget. Luckily, there are many different museums throughout the Windy City that host free entry days. Ferro is happy to share the full list of free museum days for summer 2024 in Chicago, IL:
Swedish American Museum
- Every second Tuesday of every month. Children age 1 or younger may enter for free.
Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier
- Free admission for veterans, active duty and reserves military members
Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center
- Last Friday of every month
Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
- Donation Days on Thursday
Museum of Contemporary Art
- Free admission to visitors under age 18, visitors with disabilities (and their caregivers), members of military and public service. Illinois residents may attend for free every Tuesday.
